MISSING CLASSMATES

Are you lonesome tonight,

Do you miss me tonight,

Are you sorry we drifted apart ...

It's Elvis Night

( can you believe what fun people we are?   Put this one on your calendar )

Well, ... don't be sorry we drifted apart, join us for our first Elvis Night.   It's not the real Elvis, ... he's dead.  One of our own, Steve Pearse, plays saxophone in his band, which is backing up an Elvis impersonator, for this gig.  Wendy Wallace and her husband Ron Freer went to see this in March.   She said Steve is really good, as is the Elvis impersonator, so she had a great time.  I can't imagine an event where Wendy doesn't have a great time.  It all goes down at Pub 282, 370 N.E.Camano Drive, Camano Island, WA 98282, Thursday, May 9th.   Ok, ... I hear you, "Camano Island, that's near the San Juans right", .... to which I say, ... NO, it's not.  Where's your sense of adventure.   First of all, you don't need a boat to get there, ... driving directions below.   The food looks good, you don't need to wear a costume, it'll be a 60's flashback.   A good time to be had by all, but I'm not going to lie, ... space is limited, so we are advising you get there no later than 6:30pm.   We can have a bite to eat, revisit our old Elvis memories.  My wife told me she first saw Elvis on The Ed Sullivan Show.  I saw Elvis in person at the Seattle Worlds Fair, ... from a distance, but forget I told you that, because I'm using that experience for my memory of Elvis which I'll relate to you again on Elvis Night.  The band plays from 7:30 - 10:00 pm, so maybe take a little nap during the day.   They do take a break, so if you need to leave, ... there's an intermission. Do you need to wear blue suede shoes, ... nope, ... only Lee Crary.   No costumes required, ... that's part of our 2024 theme, ... Come as you Are.

Driving Directions:   From I-5 Northbound take Camano Island / Cama Beach exit.   Turn left onto SR-532 towards Stanwood.   Keep left onto SR-532 for 9.7 miles.  Turn left onto McElroy Drive.   In 200 ft, turn right into the parking lot.   You're there.
