I remember running into Larry a couple years after we graduated. I thought that he was living with Nick Lebrand in a sort of basement house that a grade school friend of mine had also lived in years before, in Alderwood Manor.
The next thing I heard about Larry was an article in the local paper (Seattle P. I.?) saying that a Lynnwood man named Larry Cantrell had been killed in "a training accident" at a military base, maybe Ft. Lewis. The name and age seemed to match our classmate so I assumed it was he. I thought the cause of death very curious, since Larry struck me as someone who would do all he could to stay out of the military. I always wondered if he was an uncooperative draftee who died as a result of "hazing."
I'm pretty sure this all happened sometime between 1969 and 1972. I was not close to either Larry or Nick so I had no way of confirming the details with a family member.
