I was very saddened when I heard of Loa's passing at the Multi-Class Reunion in September, 2013.  We never went steady or even dated, but we would end up at Parker's on a Friday Night or a MHS dance and be together for most of the evening.  We had so much fun together.  I was really hoping to see her again at a reunion, only to find out that she had passed away 24 years ago.  Rest in peace Loa, and hopefully we will meet again in the hereafter.

Loa was my best friend in high school.  We stayed in contact after graduation & she helped me find a place to live in ‘68.  She was datng Taj Mahal, the blues singer, when we lost contact. Those were crazy days...I’m writing a book & she is definitely in it.  I was shocked today when I looked her up & saw she was gone.  She was a sweet caring girl...the only friend that I had that was taller than me...I’ve thought of her often.

Gail. It’s always takes your breath away to hear the news someone has died young... there’s a home awaiting us in a far greater than we can only imagine waiting for us... though we still miss them... I am curious about your book so I hope we learn more about it...blessings for your day

I remember Loa from elementary school through high school.  We were not close friends, by any means, but there was something about her smile and her personality that was captivating.  It's reassuring to see so many comments about our departed friends that look forward to a real "hereafter" where friendships and connections will continue.  I consider the idea that consciousness is merely an epiphenomenon of the material world to be poor philosophy and equally poor science.  We will see you again, Loa.
