Sam E. Tisdel

Sam E. Tisdel, born July 18, 1949 in Leavenworth, Washington, passed away November 11, 2000 in Seattle, Washington. He was raised in Edmonds and Alderwood Manor, graduating from Meadowdale High School in 1967. Sam was a building contractor and was a master craftsman, truly enjoying his work. He was well-known in his trade and was also a member of the NCWAB Association. He lived in Cle Elum the past nine years, involved in hunting and fishing. Sam was an avid motorcyclist and an active member of the Stump- Jumpers Club. He is survived by his best friend, Carol Perkins; his two daughters, Trista M. Tisdel and fiance' Aaron Ray, and Tamara L. Tisdel; his parents, Don and Joyce Tisdel; his sister, Taryn (Jeff) Jensen; his brothers, Greg (LaRae) Tisdel and Mike Tisdel; aunt Dorothy (Jack) Brown, aunt Mila Dashielle, aunt Bette (Gordon) Johnson, aunt Shirley (John) Lemke; and uncle Dell Deach; many cousins, nieces and nephews.  Memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 18, 2000 at 1:00 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church of Bellevue, 1717 Bellevue Way NE, Bellevue, Wash. Remembrances may be given to the Virginia Mason Cancer Research Fund, P.O. Sam was always the guy with the sunny diposition and ready bright smile. He and I were in the same 6th grade class together as well as high school at Meadowdale, and he was there for me when I was having a rough time - I had a lot of those in my younger years. I was really looking forward to seeing Sam again at our 50th reunion, and was saddened to see that he had passed away. May he rest in peace.
