Carolyn Ila Wagar Lindell

July 26, 1949 - June 22, 2024

Carolyn Ila Lindell, 74, of Stanwood, WA, passed away on Saturday, June 22, 2024 after a long battle with Parkinsons and Pneumonia. She was born on July 26,1949 in Munich Germany to Charles and Doris Wagar. During her early years, she bounced around as her father was in the army. Her family settled in the Edmonds area and she graduated from Meadowdale High School in 1967. She then met the love of her life, her loyal loving husband and Best Friend, Bill Lindell at a party and later married him in 1969. They moved to Stanwood and raised a family. Carolyn was a homemaker, then drove a school bus after her children went to school. This made it possible for her to be there for her children during school breaks and holidays. Her children and grandchildren were her whole life. It was always a priority to be there for all her children and grandchildren to help take care of them on sick days and spectate all sports games. In her retirement years, she then remained with the Stanwood School District working as a school nurse assistant to keep busy along side her husband working as a playground teacher. Carolyn and Bill enjoyed camping with their grandchildren in summers, traveling to New Zealand several times to visit her cousin, Cruises to Alaska. Carolyn also enjoyed reading, her dog Sadie, gardening, growing huge flower baskets and tomatos.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Doris Wagar, her sister, Rosemarie Wagar as well as her brother- in- law, Bradley Lindell. She is survived by her loving husband, Bill Lindell, her daughter, Debbie (Josh)Wolfe of Stanwood , her son, William Lindell (Kim) of South Carolina, her step daughter, Trina (Dustin) Barker of Utah, her Sister, Pamela Singh, her brother, Chuck Wagar, her nieces and nephews , Lisa, Ken, Scott, Bryan, her grandchildren, Emma, Lucy, Sydney, Grace, Emme, Ava and Gage.

A Celebration of Carolyn's life will be on Saturday, July 13th at her daughter's home Debbie, 4518 Silvana Terrace Rd Stanwood. Open House 1:00-5:00, all friends and family are welcome.

It is always so sad to hear that one of our classmates and friends have died.  Carolyn was with us for a lunch gathering about 8 years ago - and it was fun to catch up on her life.  She had a wonderful life, and was very happy - which is always good to hear.  She will be missed by her family and friends.  We had a class or two together, and I remember Carolyn as a nice person, and fun to be around.  RIP Carolyn 🙏

Carolyn was a nice person and funny , if I remember correctly she lived near Dyanne Satern.  We all went out some in high school.  Around 7 or 8 years ago a bunch of us had a nice luncheon in Edmonds, so fun catching up.  Prayers for the family.
