We also have five grandchildren - Dashel; Willow; Olivia; Cordelia; Oliver. After Junior year at Meadowdale my parents moved and I spent Senior year and graduated from Bothell HS. I enlisted in the US Air Force Reserve and later spent 14 years with Covenant Players Repertory Theater touring and performing all over the US, Canada, Europe, and the Pacific Rim. Finally graduated with a undergrad degree in Theater Arts from Cal State Northridge and then earned Masters and Doctorate degrees at Claremont School of Theology in California. Served as pastor in Longview, WA and then Vancouver, WA before becoming hospital chaplain full-time. I got back in the military after a 20 year break and became a chaplain in the Army Reserve with combat deployments in Afghanistan and Iraq. Patty and I met in the Covenant Players and in January celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary.

School Story

Attended the old Alderwood Elementary School, Lynnwood Junior High, and then sophomore and junior years at then brand-new Meadowdale. Played trombone in band and with a little group called The Fantastics with Les Savitch, Steve Pearse, Steve Bird, and Bill Bent. Still play occasionally but just for fun! Among many reasons I was sad to move is that I was chosen to be a member of the Impressions singing group at MHS right before the end of Junior year. I did sing in the select small group at Bothell though. One good memory I have is taking summer school typing class in the mornings and drivers education in the afternoon. I got my drivers license during the middle of the class and I think I was the only one in the class who could legally drive while still taking drivers education.

Hi Gary, I remember hearing that you were awarded a full scholarship to MIT and that I thought you were pretty much the smartest guy in our class. Did you go to MIT? Graduate from there? Just wondering. See you at the reunion this weekend.

Anybody else remember sitting in class at Meadowdale when the big earthquake rolled thru the school? I was daydreaming and looking out the window in class on the west side of the school when I noticed that trees in the distance were moving up and down. I couldn't look away as it got closer and closer and then shook the classroom. Later I heard from friends on the other side of school who saw cars in the parking lot rocking and rolling like they were on the ocean.

Another memory is going to school dances at Meadowdale and listening to Marty Tuttle and his band. I thought they were the greatest - they could really put out a wall of sound. Anybody know what happened to Marty - did he keep playing and ever make it "big"?
