Linda Gatjens Burton

I was married and divorced twice and am now single. I spend most of my time with my daughters and my two grandsons and two granddaughters, Makaio Age 10 brother to Malakai age 7 months with sister Isabella age 5.My daughter Ashley has Marissa almost 2.
I am very active in the Order of Eastern Star and a Supreme (International) Officer of the Daughters of the Nile this year.
I am the postmaster at Seahurst Post Office in Burien, WA tho I plan to retire sometime next year. Retired 2018.
I now live in Edmonds in my parents "old" house - I lived there thru college before I moved to San Francisco - after that Burien, Des Moines, Auburn, SeaTac and then to Edmonds.

I went on from Meadowdale to the University of Washington where I majored in English Literature and joined a sorority Alpha Omicron Pi. I am still close friends with Linna Carlsen Smeltzer and even tho she lives in Virginia now we still keep in touch.
I was so awkward and shy in high school tho always dreaming of being one of the popular kids, I never was. I enjoyed high school, however, and look back on it fondly. I followed my brother John (Class of '65) and kind of lived in his scholastic shadow thru highschool.
I remember Linna and I trying out for Cheerleader - I desperately wanted to be one and had to talk Linna into doing it - obviously we didn't make it but it was fun! I was on the drill team instead.
